What a difference a week makes.  There was lots of progress this week.  The painters have finished their work and it actually looks like a house now...much different from the war zone of a week ago.   Not only did the painters finish, but the granite was also delivered and placed on the cabinets. We went with a granite called Tripic Brown to go with the brown floors and glaze on the cabinets.   I probably should have gone with a slightly larger overhang on the front but other than that is's pretty awesome.  I was a little worried about the color but I am not anymore.

One thing I am not sure about is the reddish color in the study.  At first I thought it looked kind of weird until I realized why...they forgot to put the crown moulding in the study.  It was on the spec sheet so Ryan assures me they will get it added.
