Well, the house is getting very close to being done. I am mostly packed and have the movers coming next Thursday to do the heavy lifting. If all goes well, I will be all settled in by labor day. Unfortunately, it appears that in my quest to get the house completed, I neglected the reason I built it.
I don't normally post much about my personal life. I prefer to chronicle the gadgets and toys I get but I don't feel much like doing that lately.
It appears my best friend in the world, Alene, wasn't as into the idea of settling down as I was. She has left to find a different and hopefully happier path in life. Was it mutual....well...no. But I do understand her needs and respect her decision. This last year as we tried to transition from simple boyfriend/girlfriend to something more was a hurdle we just could not overcome.
So, I will go on. I will move in to the new house, somewhat less enthusiastically, and hopefully having learned something new about myself, relationships and how important it is to cherish those times when you have love as it doesn't always last.
