I have finally had a chance to spend some quality time with the new FX and have to say I love it.  It's a distinctly different vehicle from the RDX.   While more than one person has asked me if it's just the same car in a differen color....the FX has a decidedly more "macho" character.   From the 20 inch rims to the low rumbling exhaust note it's very tough car.   Handling I would rate as a notch above the already great handling RDX as well.     My FX is a fully loaded FX35 with the Technology  Sport  Hands Free and Touring Packages.    I decided go to the opposite of silver and got it in Autumn Copper.     Well, here are a couple of pictures.  It's in my garage so it looks pretty red.   I have a few more pics over on my pbase account but I will try to take a some better outside shots when I get less busy.

Not much else going on.   I am still grumbling about not getting the SLK but as I mentioned before I am going to just enjoy the FX for now.   Later all.

After waiting a couple of months for my new SLK to arrive....it finally did today.   There is just one problem.  MB completely screwed up and didn't equip all the options on it.    So after hitching a ride to the dealer, I got to admire the  Blue/Tan SLK (first one in Tulsa in fact) for about 5 minutes before being told that my fully loaded car was screwed up and missing the premium package.  So basically, it has all the silly features like the Navi and wheels but no basic features like homelink, power seats etc.  UGH!!!!    My sales guy gave me a lot of options on how to proceed...none of which included me getting the car the way I wanted it anytime soon so I selected to just ask for a ride home.    They are going to configure a new one for me and it looks like I am waiting another 60 days before once again enjoying some top down motoring :(

Well, the week isn't all bad...in fact it was mostly god.    A few weeks ago, my friend Blake decided he wanted to buy my RDX.  Well, everyone knows I am a sucker for an opportunity so I decided it was time to upgrade to a different SUV.    As of early this week, I have a shinny new Orange Infiniti FX35.  It looks very snazzy and certainly helps take the sting out of not having the new SLK.  

Yeah,...yeah, I know....my sister gets tired of me complaining about my "problems" so I'm going to just be happy and enjoy not having a car payment for a few more months.
