Jen's hubby was out of town since before christmas so now that he is back we got to celebrate christmas for the kids. Nothing like a little christmas cheer in february to brighten your day.

This is a show of Makenna's Science Fair project. Its been in my kitchen waiting for me to find a good way to transport it to school next week.

As I was walking around looking for a picture on my first official day of unemployment, i was reminded that we don't have to lift a load alone. There are lots of ways to pull harder. I am lucky that i don't have to move forward alone and have a lot of friends and family pulling too. I have had a lot of people asking me what I'm doing next and wanting to help and be included in what ever venture we figure out. I have a feeling that in a few months from now we will look back and wonder what took us so long.

We celebrated Dre's Birthday. I maybe weird but I really like celebrating birthdays ON someones birthday :) IWe had a nice relaxing dinner at Bonefish and then went home for a Maggie Moo's ice cream cake.

I'm attempting to finish out the living room with some accessories. This is the new block shelf and a blue vase that I am hanging in the living room for another touch of blue.

Dre got me these tools i have been eyeing for years. Can't wait to take something apart.

The new tv arrived safe and sound and i got it on the wall with a little help from a neighbor. Just have to give it some time to break in and get it all adjusted.

Brownies and Mint...yum. Andrea and her daughter made me these yummy snacks for Valentines day. They taste as good as they look.

I'm having a blast with these lamp pics I took the other day. Today's variation is punched up and toned red. I wonder if I am done :)

Another day...another color. This is a different take on the same lamp as yesterday. This time with a little "Direct Positive" preset in Lightroom.

Well, after a productive and fun sunday, it's time to head back to work. After last week, surely this week can't be any worse so wish me luck.

I have been working on getting rid of the red in my living room for a month or so and finally it's GONE. The new brown couch arrived today and is sitting in it's new home. I just ned to decide if hte chairs are staying or going now. They normally live in the bedroom and i like them there too. I might do some chair shopping and see if there is anything that would work well here.

I am a bit....shall we say...obsesive with wires. A few months ago i decided to color code my network cables and this month i am at it again with my HDMI cables. Soon all my video devices will have it's own special color so i can tell them apart without that tedious following the cable which can tale sometimes as much as a minute or two :)

After trying all the trials of Aperture, Photoshop elements, and Lightroom as well as playing with Picasa and Bridge, I finally decided to put down some money and get Lightroom. I'm pretty happy with it and now have a nice easy workflow for my daily photos.

Time is flying this year. As i get older the time just seems to go faster and faster.
